I don't have much use for these internet clowns like Kos, but Bob Novak has been reporting that Washington insiders from both sides of the aisle find Mitt Romney to be unelectable. He's the sort of uninspiring, bland candidate that reminds me of John Kerry or Bob Dole. Kos isn't taking a huge risk here.

Mpinkeyes,

Nice post...(the one at your blog). You're one of the few I have read that actually gets it, or at the very least one of the few with the guts to say the obvious.

Dimocrats little game of race baiting is beginning to blow back on them. Since politics is most Dim's religion (helping to explain the disdain for Joe Lieberman), they will use any means necessary to insure their retaining power: lying about faith, false accusation, intimidation, cheating, raising the dead to vote, slander and libel, all acceptable if it means the Dimocrats can obtain and/or retain political power.

Being that I have some real issues with the Republican candidates, I haven't taken a stake in any of the nominees. Truth is, none of them do much for me either and I remain unimpressed with any of those leading the pack, though the the GOP candidates are infinitely better than the Dimocratic ones as the debates have shown. When the real debating starts between parties, Obama will be shown to be a major lightweight. Whether than can prevent him from winning remains to be seen because there is no doubt Americans want change. What many fail to recognize is it can change for the worse; much worse. I do know for a fact that much of the Hispanic community abhors Barack Obama.

It will be politics as usual, no matter the winner so I stick with the one party I think best represents something besides amoral values and will do best for our military.

But if I had to choose the nominees that I think will win and face off, I still stay with my original picks to win even if the pundits say no way:

Hillary vs. Rudy

Of course, I thought Dallas and Indy would win yesterday.

The only "race" issue interesting to me in this entire primary season isn't on the Republican side but the Dimocratic one. I have already guaranteed the Republican nominee one vote in the election - no matter whom the candidate is short of the bizarre Ron Paul. No worries there. So Chenzhen and I will be canceling each other out in the popular vote, as always.

What is really interesting to me is to observe that the race baiting Dims, the party of the supposed big tent, have been exposed at their own little nasty game of categorizing by color.

On one side, you've got blacks now calling out Hillary and Bill as closet bigots. Seems our first "black President" isn't so black after all. On the other side, you've got the largest minority group, the Hispanics, very much troubled by what they perceive as a black bigot - this blog's favorite son, Obama.

And I for one am going to love watching the Dims get to dance a little around the bigotry accusation this go around. Give you a little taste of false accusation with no ability to prove but only deny. Enjoy the dance pimps...

I think this strategy has a major potential for back firing. Romney won the non evangelical vote in Iowa by a three to one margin. He won the Republican vote in New Hampshire, he lost the Independant vote there. And he is already the leading delegate holder. Once he gets to states where only Republicans vote in their own primary and states where evangelicals won't vote for a candidate just based on his religion, he will do really well. That is why I hope they take this advice.
If they really wanted to throw a wrench into the system they should vote for a Hunter or Paul, someone with no shot to win the primary.

TRM- It's hard to say for certain how much influence Kos actually has. There is a reason why they are called the "netroots" though. Add to that the chance that the idea may get some free publicity from the likes of people like Rush or O'Reilly on Monday, and who knows what might happen.

I suspect that TRM is probably most right, here. While we (let's face it ... everyone commenting here is at least sort of a junkie) have strong feelings about it, most normal people don't get worked up over what Kos says or suggests. Much less would most people do what he says, even if it wasn't stupid.

If Romney does win the primary and carries a bunch of Dem districts, some Huckabee and McCain supporters (not I,of course, but some ...) might question how real his win was, but I don't think that most people would care.

I'd like to think that most people are above this kind of stuff.

The other component if I understand it right. If a Dem votes in any of the primaries,in this case the GOP this keeps them from being non committed later and elegigible to vote for the dem of choice. It's weird
