Got A Thing For Christiane Amanpour

August 21, 2007

amanpour.jpg Is it the accent? Is it the fact that she’s one of the most accomplished journalists in the biz, who is willing to go to parts of the world that others wouldn’t dare? I can’t put my finger on it, really. All I know is that when she’s on, I tune in. There’s something genuine about her.

There, I said it.

Anyway, I mention this because tonight CNN aired the first of her three-part series, “God’s Warriors”. I was stuck at work this evening, so I didn’t get a chance to see it. Hopefully CNN will replay it, and I’ll  post some thoughts in here.

Update:  In the meantime, I noticed that my pals at LGF also posted a thread about the series.  I see they’re not exactly sharing the love.  Too bad.

  1. She looks like a man.

Amanpour is obviously smart but why are all of her CNN blabfest specials about Islam? It’s so limiting and ultimately, just boring.

  2. Chen:
It has to be the accent plus she is terribly smart. I saw her show last night on the Jews and it was very interesting. I am looking forward to the rest of the series.

  3. Christopher- Did you follow the link to LGF? Many are claiming she does nothing but bash Jews and Christians.

  4. Chen,

I don’t know if this is true or not. Amanpour is employed by the pro-Zionist CNN.

Since Ted Turner sold the once mighty cable news network, they have increasingly become a mouthpiece for AIPAC’s agenda and even hired Wolf “Leslie” Blitzer who is a former AIPAC lobbyist to appear on-air 6 days a week.

When the yummy Thomas Roberts came out, revealing he’s gay, CNN promptly fired him.

The M-F afternoon “news” team is anchored by the rightwing shill, Kyra Phillips who is a Republican sympathizer and who is vehemently anti-Democrat.

Overall, CNN has more commercial breaks than any of the cable news channels and is consistantly pro-Israel and anti-Palestinian.

If Amanpour is anti-jew, maybe they allow this posture because they think they’re creating balance?
