It’s the end of an era, ladies and gentlemen. The legendary LGF poster, Gordon (aka “Nodrog”) has been banned from the site. Personally, I didn’t think it was ever going to happen. He had tallied thousands of comments over a span of 4 years there, which is longer than most anyone who had regularly contributed. The significance of this is enhanced by the fact that Gordon hardly ever towed the LGF line; he was viewed by most over there as the most persistent “troll” in the history of the site. Heck, the guy had his own entry in the LGF dictionary even. As it turned out though, a few days after I was handed my own eviction notice from the site, Gordon made the mistake of forgetting that the netizen inhabitants over there are extremely hypersensitive to anything that might be remotely construed by someone, somewhere, in some parallel universe as being vaguely anti-Semitic*. It was pretty lame, if you ask me. It might have been just a convenient excuse. Nevertheless, Gordon was unceremoniously banished.
So, homeless, Gordon made the move to a site where many other LGF outcasts flock; the grumpy ex-lizard domain of Gulf Coast Pundit. Although he was initially allowed entry, some of the GCP residents were opposed to granting membership to someone as ideologically distant as Gordon, so his stay there was brief enough to be clocked on a stopwatch. Gordon was banned again.
Intent on not roaming the blogosphere without a home, however, Gordon has decided to build his own.
