All They Need Is Music

March 9, 2008

For today’s session of the “Who Would The Terrorists Vote For” game, we have U.S. Rep. Steve King:

He continued: “I will tell you that, if he is elected president, then the radical Islamists, the al-Qaida, the radical Islamists and their supporters, will be dancing in the streets in greater numbers than they did on September 11 because they will declare victory in this War on Terror.”

Then you have my favorite deep-end inhabitant weighing in, Atlas:

Yes, of course. It is so and the Arab Muslim world has said it. But we are not allowed to say it.We are not allowed to speak of it while engaged in a war for our very lives. It’s time the American people get an education on Islam not given by unindicted co-conspirator CAIR.

Ya know, I thought about that for a second, and decided that I need to brush up on my Islam.

  1. I’ve got two words for Mr. King, but out of respect for Chen, I won’t print them here.

  2. Hey Kip,

I viewed your blog and feel worse for doing so. This duplicitous quote galled me so I have a suggestion:

We’re already a second-tier nation on so many fronts it is hubris to say America is the greatest nation on earth. I love America, but let’s be real.

Instead of sniveling and whining, why don’t you tell me who is the greatest nation on earth? Then, and since we’re second class and you “love America” {barf}, why don’t you tell us what you would do to get us to first class and currently tell me personally what you do to make it better?

  3. Thanks, Tex.
I don’t think we should point to one nation and crown it “greatest”. Obviously, the E.U. is the greatest nation-state. Any country that provides health-care for it’s citizens is superior. Many countries have economies in far better shape than ours. We lag behind most countries in civil liberties since President Bush recinded the Constitution. I could go on, but to answer your last question, what I would personally do to make it better is vote for a democrat for President in Nov.

You’re obviously clueless like King so this time I’m not even going to bother to refute ignorant statements – it’s a total waste of time. I’m just going to laugh at you. A lib underachiever. Go back to your playstation and blog some more. When you’re world falls apart, I’ll be the one ululating and screaming “I told you so.”

Pull that Dim lever come November. Win or lose, most of you guys are still going to be sucking hind tit. Party politics doesn’t save you from stupidity.

  5. sucking hind tit

I’m not even sure what the heck that means.

  6. @kip I won’t get all hater on you but the EU isn’t a nation. It’s a collection of states that still have their individual issues. The EU if we were to consider it whole is still even more dependent upon others for it’s energy needs than even the US. It is dependent upon nations that are hostile to it’s existence. On an individual basis the countries as I said have their issues. Hungary is going broke,Spains socialists will be the rulers but are facing bad mojo. Frances questionable Sarkozy regret will leave it divided for the rest of his term. Hungary ,France England are all looking at private fees for healthcare. The tax free care for all is coming to an end. The Bush civil liberties line is a complete lie on your part or perhaps a rhetoric you don’t mind throwing out there any more than some on the right throw things out.In fact once you eliminate the majority of nations you get to a handful of Latin American and Euro nations and if the post was meant for that I’d tear it up. Post specific, sorry it took so long Chen…King has made other statements in the past that had some cred. This counters those.AQ and other Islamists don’t care who is the Oval. There are so many divisions amongst them (islamists) the thought they universally care is laughable. Would (will) they benefit from an Obama Administration ? Only in that the US will pull back operations currently underway and respond to future ones in ineffective Clintonesque manner. I would add though that for something big the precedent has been set. I would further state that a different Administration ,and by that I mean non Bush so McCain is as good as Obama. There are those out there that will step up and stand with us in a manner and timing unimagined under the W.Last as far as that image CZ. That is ssssoooo haram.

  7. Chen,

I’m not even sure what the heck that means.

You don’t know what that means? I thought you were one of the smartest guys in the world? Isn’t everybody in the Obama crowd brilliant?

  8. Thanks, fray.
I referred to the E.U. as a nation-state, for want of a better term. My point was there is NO country that should be declared “the greatest”. If you’re going to make a general comparison, based on “the quality of life” we’re simply not number one. I’m just being realistic, I still love America.

  9. @Kip my view is that it is very subjective so I respect your view even if I don’t agree. That is a guiding principle for good dialogue I think. Thanks

  10. I thought you were one of the smartest guys in the world?

There’s quite a gap between smart and omnipotent, Tex.

  11. Chen,

There’s quite a gap between smart and omnipotent, Tex.

I think you meant to use the word omniscient…

  12. Yea that too.
