Will Palin Drop Out Of The Race In Light Of Troopergate Fallout?

October 10, 2008

Quick thread, since it just broke and I’m not sure if anyone else has posed the question yet…

Here’s the discussion on memeorandum.

Here’s the 263-page report (pdf).  In short, Branchflower concluded that Palin violated the ethics law by using (abusing) her authority to pressure Monegan to fire Wooten, and not in the act of firing Monegan.  It’s and important distinction that I don’t think alot of the netizens on the web are grasping at this point.

So, the “what now?” question arises, and the pundits are all over the board on this one.  Impeachment?

  1. hi cz!
i think she’s too arrogant to drop out of the race, and capt underpants won’t insist that she drop out, because that would just underscore the ‘erratic’ label.

  2. ney nonnie!

But would you still say that if we see talk of impeachment, or the actual proceedings?

  3. On one side, we’ve got:

    (1) two economic advisors for Obambi bilking millions from Fannie helping to create the economic calamity,
    (2) we’ve got Louis Farrakhan calling Obama the messiah in a mosque,
    (3) we’ve got ACORN and Obama stealing votes in 50 states,
    (4) we’ve got an anarchist on the Obama payroll
    (5) we’ve got a black racist preacher at the church Obama attended for 20 years,
    (6) we’ve got a wife who has never been proud of America,
    (7) we’ve got a slum lord for a best friend
    (8) we’ve got subprime billionaire thieves, so bad they were panned on SNL, contributing millions to Obama’s cause
    (9) we’ve got records that won’t be released…
    (10) we’ve got, we’ve got, we’ve got one rancid associate, scandal or lie after another.

On the other, we’ve got a political witchhunt that amounts to nothing…and that’s the best they can come up with after sending in the dogs to dig thru dumpsters.

I never knew Bill Clinton would be a candidate for sainthood.

Incredible – you really are pathetic. I am beginning to think that although I have previously thought you young and naive, I have changed my mind…you’re as bad as Kay.

  4. Tex-

On the other, we’ve got a political witchhunt that amounts to nothing…and that’s the best they can come up with after sending in the dogs to dig thru dumpsters.

You do know that the investigation was mostly comprised of, Republicans, right?

  5. cz,
there won’t be an impeachment. there is still a rethuglican majority in alaska, and they won’t want to tarnish the brand more than it already is.

  6. Again with the moral equivalency! So because Obama does something really bad, this means Palin can get away with sort of bad things?

What happened to all this talk about falling moral standards?

  7. Yup, once again Mike puts it short and sweet. Chen, you ask about Palin and Tex gives a laundry list (really old silly stuff like Michelle isn’t proud of her country) of Obama material. YO Tex … answer the question at hand! What about Palin? And try a more original analysis than the Republican talking point about witch hunts. (Then again, I forgot that based on how you weighed in on the Muthee topic a few days ago, you believe in witches.) 😉

As suggested in the MSNBC analysis, the Republicans will cling to the finding that the actual firing of Monegan was within Palin’s power and she did nothing wrong in doing so. They’ll dodge the finding about her using her power to exercise a vendetta against trooper Wooten.

No, she won’t resign from the ticket and McCain, unless he gets REAL “mavericky”, won’t kick her off.

  8. R-

Well, she could “recuse herself”, I suppose.

  9. Chen, this conversation doesn’t help Michelle Obama’s kids. Stop ignoring the economy, and stick to the issues.

    This is a non-issue.

Just like when Obama told the Iraqi government to postpone negotiations with the current administration until after the election.

Just like when Obama recieved 3,000 illegal campaign donations that he is now forced to refund.

Just like when Obama paid $800,000 to ACORN affiliates and then made a “clerical error” on what they were being paid to do.

Are those things moral? Hell no.

    Are they illegal? Evidently not.

Neither is this. And that is the bottom line.

  10. The moral relativism on this blog continues to astound me…The higher the ‘intellect’, the greater the ‘relativism’.

[As suggested in the MSNBC analysis], there is your first problem “R”. Did you reinforce your proof at KKKos or PuffHO? Convenient to ignore the more serious charges concerning Obama but it doesn’t surprise me; Michelle a proven cracker hater no doubt, but the lightest of the charges. She’ll end up like Hillary Rotten – a pariah.

These Palin charges so pathetic to be laughable. What’s to explain? They canned a really bad egg? Like I said, show me a lib with an 80% approval rating in the job.

“R”, you’re father Lucifer is an excellent instructor. Give yourself an ‘A’.

Chen, you lied the other day. You told me Mike a “straight shooter” while good standing member of FearBush. I’ve found he’s just as clueless, obtuse and juvenile as you, with or without the spellcheck and certainly with a talent for humor.

And now I’ve found Ugly Kay’s twin sister, Nooner. Got the lexicon down and everything. If I can stick around long enough, Himmler, Marx and Stalin might soon be wearing an Obama t-shirt while posting at THE CHAMBER. If there wearing the ‘D’, they’re part of the team!

  11. You do know that the investigation was mostly comprised of, Republicans, right?

    cz,
there won’t be an impeachment. there is still a rethuglican majority in alaska, and they won’t want to tarnish the brand more than it already is.

Alaskan Republicans hate Sarah Palin almost as much as you Omabatons do.

  12. [You do know that the investigation was mostly comprised of, Republicans, right?]

Only goes to show, we hold ours to a higher standard; something I absolutely, positively guarantee you wouldn’t understand…

  13. Red,

Your a trooper to hang with these goons…I was out walking the dogs tonight thinking how did things get to this point where a majority of America can’t even recognize the most wicked of things?

I can only guess their own little world must completely collapse before they open their eyes. Even then, they’ll go looking for somebody good to blame while supporting the absolute dregs of society.

  14. your / you’re ugh

  15. Look, if Palin violated the ethics law then she did something she should not have done, plain and simple. Does that mean she should be kicked off the ticket? I don’t know, I need to read more about it.

One thing I do know: there’s a trend in politics to think that one is above the law. Paulson having the fucking heuvos to actually ASK for no oversight of any kind. Bloomberg suggesting he should be able to run for a third term. Palin violating ethics laws to get back at a family friend. Some of the things Tex listed about Obama. ACORN and what they did.

In my mind, we shouldn’t tolerate that under any circumstances whatsoever. The people make up this fucking country, not the elected officials and the offices they hold, or the laws they enforce. They should be beholden to us, and nothing else, but they constantly thumb their noses.

What bugs me, Tex, is you seem to tolerate this behavior in Republicans. That makes me think maybe, just maybe, you’re the conservative analog of all those blind, tribalistic liberals you loathe so much.

  16. Speaking of proofreading, looks like Tex needs to hit the sack too. I’ll probably flunk out of medical school wasting my time poking the lefty goons.

    their / they’re ….

    //awful

  17. {What bugs me, Tex, is you seem to tolerate this behavior in Republicans.}

You would be wrong. If the charges serious, I’ll be the loudest to ask for her resignation, given the time. But I can virtually guarantee this is crap and a political ploy to detract from Obama’s heavy baggage you mostly choose to ignore; just as I did Nixon, Livingston, Larry Craig, the current scumbag cheating on his wife from LA whose name escapes me at the moment. There’s a bunch of Republicans I would have hung at the public square; there’s a whole lot more Dimocrats.

If there is anybody I have less tolerance for than immoral dolts from the left, it’s the hypocrites on the right talking a great game and doing just the opposite – especially the preachin’ type.

That makes me think maybe, just maybe, you’re the conservative analog of all those blind, tribalistic liberals you loathe so much.

And you think that troubles me? 😉

  18. Red Pill-

Chen, this conversation doesn’t help Michelle Obama’s kids. Stop ignoring the economy, and stick to the issues.

    This is a non-issue.

The revelation that the gal who wants to be VPOTUS is predisposed to using the power of her office to settle personal scores is a non-issue?

Heck, it not only subverts her whole “reformer” image, its a little scary at the same time.

IMO, she’s moved from sorta liability status to now bona fide at this point (which is why I brought up the question). The cluelessness and mindless talking point regurgitation were bad enough, but now I’m not sure if she can really use that anymore. Sure, they’ll try to spin it as some sort of political witch hunt (as Tex said), but the inescapable fact is that this was all pre-nomination, and the panel was bipartisan, so I dunno who’s gonna buy that.

Just because you want it to be a non-issue…

Anyway, it’s bedtime gang. Be good, OK?

  19. First off let’s remember/ or learn that the Alaskan state governmental procedures require a different board to decide whether Palin deserves a disciplinary action. I doubt after going through the report the board will risk humiliation and litigation.
Also never mind trying to compare apples and oranges and all the your guy my guy crap. The truth is the report was never undertaken for any reason other than political gain.
As for her leaving. Ain’t gonna happen. There is no benefit to it in either direction.
I predict this though. Most people that like Palin will embrace this for future use. A union scumbag cop who threatens people and tasers his kid deserved to be fired at a minimum.
The Left via unions and netroots only see an abuse of power. I hope you all still see it that way when your 17 y/o daughter ends up giving head to avoid arrest (when a ticket was the only real option) to some scumbag cop. That is the extreme case scenario but on any given day common Americans could use a leader that takes populist action that violates stupid rules but make the world a safer place.

  20. I’m only asking because I don’t know, but why do you think this “The truth is the report was never undertaken for any reason other than political gain” is true.

I don’t think this is the sort of offense one should step down for, but I have trouble seeing it as politically motivated.

Also, I like those stupid rules. They help keep the powerful in line way more often than they allow the crooked to go free, IMO.

    Tex-
    Point taken.

  21. Mike the Gov isn’t actually all that popular back home. As RedPill alluded earlier. I’ll offer that as the simplest and clearest answer for now.
The “stupid rules” I refer to are the things like not being able to get rid of bad cops due to unions, not being able to get rid of lousy or worse teachers due to tenure and a whole lot more. Please don’t misunderstand me.
If Gov. Palin underwent her crusade for your sister or your kid I don’t think anyone on this thread would honestly have a bad thing to say. If anyone says otherwise they’re a liar.

  22. “Please don’t misunderstand me.”

Oops, sorry, I did misunderstand you. Got it now.

  23. Deep thoughts, by Dead Rabbit:

I find it odd that with only a simple Google search, I can basically tap into the collective consciousness of the Western World on pretty much any topic I deem interesting, yet I don’t know who the hell my neighbor is.

  24. Rabbit,

I’ve noticed the same and have mentioned it before. Call me old fashion, but I made it a point when I moved into my house 16 years ago to make good friends with my neighbors, never recognizing I was doing something rare. Now I’ve got close, loving neighbors except…

for the lonely 73 year old hippie living next door with the Obama signs all over her yard. She told me a few months back that America needs a revolution like Woodstock. Her children for the most part have disowned her, 3 of the 5 have experienced moderate to severe drug problems, the other two Bev told me she hasn’t seen in years because they got “religion” – her words; not mine. However, the evil Tex has made it a point to take care of her and she made him an apple pie last month. I expressed great joy when given, and proceeded when Bev left to put in the trash being I don’t trust the sanitation.

Old Bev spends most of day completely unkept, long, stringy gray hair always appearing in the same baggy clothes. She spends nice days outside staring in her Koi pond, screaming at the rabbits (the floppy eared type) eating her flowers. And this is what I picture in the theater of my mind when I think of the typical Obama supporter.

And note in a neighborhood overwhelmingly Republican, the signs are still there and nobody has burned her house to the ground as Chen would like to believe of Republicans.

P.S. – I have figured out the feminazi hate here on the board for Sarah Palin. If you want a good laugh, take a minute to peruse the pictures of the femme bloggers, where provided. Being a true, red-blooded male, the experience of the dock workers will come in handy as you gander a look.

Brick house Beauty and the Bloated Beast 😆

  25. It’s kind of sad. This really is somewhat of a big deal to me, bigger if I wasn’t sure that at least SOME of the votes against her were political. I won’t change my decision on a candidate, Obama has made sureof that with HIS various scandals and terrible position on issues, but this ruins a spotless record. Too bad.

    Tex,
Chen and Mike aren’t evil, or neccasarily wrong. I understand why you write this off as political revenge, but you have to hold everyone to the same standard.

  26. “Chen and Mike aren’t evil, or neccasarily wrong.”

Oh, please, you’re being far too gracious! (I kid!)

But for the record, I’m not with Chen on this one. She doesn’t need to step down.

  27. I doubt McCain will kick Palin off the ticket, because if he did his new choice would be just as worse, because there are no good republic candidates existing anywhere in America right now.

Americans are onto Sarah Palin. They don’t even like it if she drops a hockey puck and they’re fighting back against Ms. Sarah now. Here’s a whole stadium full of Americans booing Palin so loudly the officials had to turn up the music to TRY to drown the boos out:

  28. We all know what will happen if Sarah Palin is kicked off the McCain ticket or is impeached by the Alaskan government, don’t we? Why yes we do. Being true to her values & morals in her heart, she’ll hire right wing evangelical militiamen who have financially supported her campaigns in the last few years to off those who are being mean to her. See? She’s one of those women who holds grudges for years!

    Scary. She truly is.

  29. Kay,

The chances of Palin being impeached is only a little higher than Obama being indicted for violating ethics, and a little bit lower than the mainstream media really reporting Obama’s connections.

“Being true to her values & morals in her heart, she’ll hire right wing evangelical militiamen who have financially supported her campaigns in the last few years to off those who are being mean to her.”

    PLEASE, give me some fact.

  30. Solar1,

but you have to hold everyone to the same standard

I do – the man in question was and is a horrid person as his record shows. What I don’t do is hold people to perfection and I think this amounts to absolutely nothing but a political witchhunt.

But rational comments on this board are always welcome. I disagree with your final assessment of at least one party mentioned, but I don’t expect everyone to have the same opinion. There are issues of division, and there are issues of discussion.

“Chen and Mike aren’t evil, or neccasarily wrong.”

Who knows about Mike – the one thing he’s consistent about is his inconsistency, besides the consistent dig and then he’s smacked back. Chen is a Mike toady as he is any Dimocratic toady because Chen lives under the pretense of “an enemy of my enemy is my friend.” I have no idea what Mike stands for and know little of him. But Chen…I disagree with you.

If you’re a party to evil, you’re evil. And Chen is as bad a propagandist in this election as any hatemonger I’ve read. Chen would make Joseph Goebbels proud. And as this thread attests, the suggestion of equivalency to the Obama scandals absolutely ludicrous and straight out of the fascist handbook. This board is the height of hypocrisy and double standard if you haven’t noticed Solar1.

Assuming Obama wins, and I think he will as a referendum on an unpopular war and the misperception of the uninformed about the economy and makeup of Congress, Chen will spend the next four years defending Obama no matter what happens, how bad it gets, or what Obama does. Chen will parrot whatever the Obama lackeys, the NYT, PuffHo, KKKos, or The Nation dreams up – and that is straight out of the Clinton handbook. It worked once, for a time.

The folks not recognizing Obama as a bad egg and a megalomaniac are deceived. They don’t want to hear the truth because they hate Bush. It’s that simple. The truth about Obama will eventually be exposed and Obama will make Bill Clinton look the altar boy.

And when it does, rest assured that I will be reminding Chen using his own words that he staked his reputation for truth, beauty and justice on this charlatan. I will enjoy watching Chen dance once he gets to play defense where there will be no excuse…

That is why I am not too concerned who wins and like ’92, think some good could come out of a Dimocratic sweep. That puts the game playing off the board and then the majority has to deliver, propaganda or not.

  31. Update:

Amazing. Palin is now turning the report upside down, and saying that she’s been cleared of any wrongdoing.

I guess that means she’s staying in, then.

  32. Tex,

I would say that if you are KNOWINGLY a party to evil, you are evil, the rest are just decieved (we’re getting philosophical).

I don’t think that Chen’s blog is the height of hypocrisy, that title goes to White Noise Insanity.

When I said “or neccesarily wrong” I meant in some of the comment debate above, where I thought you were getting a bit cruel. I don’t normally agree with Chen, and I have no idea about Mike.

Depending on how far your definition of decieved stretches, not all Obama supporters are decieved. Some understand his policies acquantinces and inconcistincies and embrace them without hating Bush…okay maybe not.

  33. Oh Ugly,

Your propaganda even weaker than Chen’s. I just read your hatemongering spew, the petty hag rabid with insane jealousy of a real woman. And as usual, I find myself laughing at you but glad to see you venture out of your comfort zone of your horrid blog where the women hideous and the men taboo.

There are at least six reasons you don’t like Ms. Palin: (1) She’s conservative (2) She’s not the anti-manhating, misandrist; (3) She’s married to a good looking guy with kids; something you’ll only dream of; (4) She ain’t pro-choice (5) She’s Republican; (6) She’s a brickhouse and you’re a three bagger slug, her being a knock out and you looking more like a fireplug with with a shag.

I guarantee a petty thing like you hates all pretty women – insane jealousy and rage. Nothing more pitiful to witness. The fact she’s Republican, and could beat your ass to a pulp tees you off all the more.

So you’ll know next before you spew, those same Philly fans booed Santa Claus and the Easter Bunny last year. I suppose they hate Santa Claus too, right Fireplug?

  34. Solar1,

I don’t think that Chen’s blog is the height of hypocrisy, that title goes to White Noise Insanity.

Well, not often I have to admit wrong as you might have me there. If you’re going to throw in Ugly’s blog, I’ll have to throw out the Revolting Turd’s screed and whatever it is called. At least Chen doesn’t have the same ugly spirit with the cut and paste method of insult, and and I’m sure Chen doesn’t look like he’s been hit by a bullet train and the legs stitched back on.

  35. Cruel? 😆

Wait until after the election…I’ll have them speaking in tongues.

  36. “Amazing. Palin is now turning the report upside down, and saying that she’s been cleared of any wrongdoing.”

Okay, I’ll admit the idea that she thinks the report clears her of anything unethical “whatsoever” is stunning. It doesn’t clear her of that at all. You might think the report biased (still don’t see any grounds for that one, to be honest) but to say it cleared you of wrong doing is insane.

It’s especially in sane since she seems to believe that a.) it cleared her of wrongdoing and b.) was a political circus. What am I missing?

  37. “insane”

  38. Palin didn’t say that she was cleared of ANY wrongdoing. She said she was cleared of any “LEGAL wrongdoing” (emphasis mine).

  39. Sorry, sub “stunning” for “confusing.”

    Palin quotes from Chen’s link:
“Well, I’m very very pleased to be cleared of any legal wrongdoing … any hint of any kind of unethical activity there.” Don’t know what’s behind that ellipsis.

“So no, not having done anything wrong, and again very much appreciating being cleared of any legal wrongdoing or UNETHICAL ACTIVITY at all.” Sorry, don’t know the proper code so I had to use caps.

And then “What this legislative investigation — quote unquote — turned into was a political circus.” She undermines the legitimacy of the investigation moments after (improperly) celebrating its findings? I must be missing something. I need to see another interview.

  40. “Well, I’m very very pleased to be cleared of any legal wrongdoing … any hint of any kind of unethical activity there. Very pleased to be cleared of any of that. Todd did what anyone would have done given this state trooper’s very, very troubling behavior and his dangerous threats against our family. Todd did what I think any Alaskan would do.”

I’d say that since the panel found her in violation of Alaska’s ethics law, I’d say her statement is just mind-blowingly bold here. She’s just going to pretend that it doesn’t say what it says. Or, she hasn’t read it and she’s just regurgitating whatever spin her handlers are going with. Either way, she does this at her own peril.

SNL and Fey could certainly have a field day with this. Palin’s moved from an annoying accent to silly mannerisms to displaying utter cluelessness to….denying reality altogether. I’m not sure if there’s anywhere to go from there.

  41. I don’t think you’re missing anything Mike. I think you summed it up pretty well with “insane”.

  42. “Or, she hasn’t read it and she’s just regurgitating whatever spin her handlers are going with.”

You hit the nail on the head. The handler part, I mean. I hate press handlers for one very simple reason: they make it very, very hard to trust politicians, when trust is the only thing we really have to go on in a republic. Politicians will not acknowledge their own wrongdoing directly, but spin it for the best coverage. Clinton did it, Obama does it, McCain does it (does anyone REALLY think he’s a reformer? Come one, now) and now Palin. Where are we without trust?

  43. THE REAL STORY OF SARAH PALIN’s CHARGES

But I was wrong. It’s not Goebbels in here but Stalin blushing according to the author.

WHAT THE CHAMBER AND CHEN GOEBBELS JR. DON’T WANT YOU TO KNOW:

orchestrated by Hollis French, Alaska legislator and supporter of Barack Obama. French had originally intended to release it October 31, for maximum effect on the campaign. Other legislators prevented that, but the report came out yesterday and guess what? It’s like Oakland according to Gertrude Stein, i.e., there’s no there there, Hollis, no smoking gun, no damning evidence, no nothing except 1) evidence of wasting the taxpayers’ money and 2) engaging in a clumsy smear campaign against Sarah Palin.

(Don’t you love the way Team Obama labels every criticism of The Dear One a “smear”: Google “Obama” and “smears”: 1,280,000 items in .13 seconds.)

French hired a chap named Steve Branchflower to conduct the investigation. For the purposes of the campaign, Bill Dyer writes,

it boils down . . . to two paragraphs that completely contradict one another. And the one of them that’s unfavorable ignores the most important — indeed conclusive — evidence on point, but goes on to provide Branchflower’s guess as to whether Gov. Palin has done anything improper.

If you take nothing else away from reading this post: The Branchflower Report is a series of guess and insupportable conclusions drawn by exactly one guy, and it hasn’t been approved or adopted or endorsed by so much as a single sub-committee of the Alaska Legislature, much less any kind of commission, court, jury, or other proper adjudicatory body. It contains no new bombshells in terms of factual revelations. Rather, it’s just Steve Branchflower’s (and Chen’s) opinion. . . .

It’s an “episode of political theater that would make Josef Stalin blush.”

Buwahahahaha…Chen caught in more lying propaganda without fact. A little fact checking shows Goebbels Jr. doesn’t quite have the story straight – not that it matters to the rubes.

  44. Finding Number One – and remember one man’s opinion is what is driving this whole shebang! Dims like Kay wetting their pants for absolutely nothing!

    BUWAHAHHAHAHAHA!

For the reasons explained in section IV of this report, I find that Governor Sarah Palin abused her power by violating Alaska Statute 39.52.110(a) of the Alaska Executive Branch Ethics Act. Alaska Statute 39.52.110(a) provides

The legislature reaffirms that each public officer holds office as a public trust, and any effort to benefit a personal or financial interest through official action is a violation of that trust.”

    Finding Number Two

I find that, although Walt Monegan’s refusal to fire Trooper Michael Wooten was not the sole reason he was fired by Governor Sarah Palin, it was likely a contributing factor to his termination as Commissioner of Public Safety. </b?In spite of that, Governor Palin’s firing of Commissioner Monegan was a proper and lawful exercise of her constitutional and statutory authority to hire and fire executive branch department heads.

Complete and utter bullshit Chen with nothing, but nothing of substance…your best piece of lying POS of propaganda yet, though!

Chen, you want to backtrack now, let this slide under the oriental rug, or you going to pursue the BS?

  45. Scroll up and read what I posted, Tex.

  46. Actually, you’re right about one thing, Tex. The report was Branchflower’s.

  47. I just posted the findings Chen. 263 pages of wasted taxpayer money from political hack’s opinion. There are the facts, my man. You have attempted to take a witchhunt and tried to turn this into a Obama bombshell – there is absolutely nothing to that report. Nothing!

And I knew better before I even begin to research. Isn’t it convenient (and typical) of your morally bankrupt party to pull this kind of shit three weeks before an election.

This is the kind of horseshit you and your pals do day in, and day out Chen. Complete, utter fuckin’ hypocrites. You ought to be ashamed but that assumes you would understand shame. You ignore the most obvious lies that even children would recognize from you prophet Obama like sitting in church pew for 20 years and wanting us to believe he never heard any of the Jeremiah Wright anti-white, anti-American crap. But boy, let some paid Dim hack put a little blood and meat in the water and you go into the feeding frenzy, masturbating at the keyboard to quickly get it to your ‘netizens’.

  48. Actually, you’re right about one thing, Tex. The report was Branchflower’s.

    Prove me wrong Goebbels…

  49. And I knew better before I even begin to research. Isn’t it convenient (and typical) of your morally bankrupt party to pull this kind of shit three weeks before an election.

It was 10 Republicans and 4 Dems that voted to release the report.

  50. Update:

Tapper takes a closer look: Palin Makes Troopergate Assertions that Are Flatly False

  51. And I repeat again no matter how ABC (Dim Hack) spins this,

The Branchflower Report is a series of guess and insupportable conclusions drawn by exactly one guy, and it hasn’t been approved or adopted or endorsed by so much as a single sub-committee of the Alaska Legislature, much less any kind of commission, court, jury, or other proper adjudicatory body. It contains no new bombshells in terms of factual revelations

Your article is Tapper’s opinion and nothing more. Why don’t we place a bet Josef that nothing of consequence comes out of this? Wanna bet?

  52. http://blogs.abcnews.com/politicalpunch/2008/10/vile-anti-palin.html

Here’s you Josef. Look what you’ve started. Classy group you run with…

    http://wordpress.com/tag/sarah-palin-is-an-asshole-cunt/

  53. It was 10 Republicans and 4 Dems that voted to release the report.

So what? All the more proof it leads to NOTHING. That supports the act of transparency – but before the October 31st timeframe that the Dim hack wanted it released for maximum effect – why don’t you note that little tidbit in your headline Josef?.

Oh, by the way. Monegan’s own words: “But Monegan says pressure came from those around Palin, including former Palin chief-of-staff Mike Tibbles, Department of Administration Commissioner Annette Kreitzer, and director of boards and commissions Frank Bailey.”

Of course, you’re the one who found nothing wrong with Palin’s email being hacked and assured the blog you doubted anything would come of that either. Guess the FBI agrees with your predilection for being wrong.

  54. Re: Goebbels reference. Have you heard of “Goodwin’s Law“, Tex?

Re: Tapper. I think most would agree that Tapper’s been pretty even-handed throughout the campaign.

Anyway, you’re probably right. If the issue goes before the personnel board, they may do nothing. But it is interesting to witness how Palin’s reaction to the report has evolved, and we’re probably likely to see more whoppers from her with regards to it.

And I haven’t been proven wrong on the email hack….yet.

  55. Here’s you Josef. Look what you’ve started. Classy group you run with…

    http://wordpress.com/tag/sarah-palin-is-an-asshole-cunt/

Oh yea, that’s rich. I haven’t even come close.

  56. “But it is interesting to witness how Palin’s reaction to the report has evolved”

I agree with Tex that nothing will come of this and Branchflower seems to have seriously stretched the wording of the law, but it has been interesting seeing Palin’s response.

It seems like there’s a pretty reasonable counter-claim to make against the report. But she didn’t do that, instead she said somethings that just aren’t true, and then avoided talking about the rest. Why? Motherfucking PR specialists. The same assholes that think yelling at me for 30 seconds is a good way to sell a used car on TV. Tex, when you’re Generalissimo, can they be first against the wall, please?

  57. Sarah Palin is a real woman? Huh. How many women would force their 11 year old girl who was raped either by her father or a stranger to go full term if she got pregnant as a result of the rape? Not me, but Sarah Palin would! That’s a real woman? Uh, sorry, but that’s an evil woman if you ask me. She represents nothing real women do.

And why did she let her husband Todd use her governor’s office to do business out of? Oh that’s right! She doesn’t know what the hell she’s doing, so she needs The Dude to be in on all meetings and cc’s to emails. Hell, when they both want their brother-in-law fired out of vengeance, they team up together in the governor’s office! Yeah, yeah, I guess according to the trolls, real women commit corruption and have no problem being unethical as long as their husbands are there holding their hands!

  58. Yeah Kay like Whitewater. As for the rape charges you have proven yourself insane.
The report is what it is and as I said way early the board won’t act on it out of fear of litigation and embarrassment.
Much like previous high profile political reports. (Starr for example) the stretched focus on behalf of the investigators shows how poor these investigations are in their service to the people.
The absolute truthful core to this whole thing is:
She is safe re: firing Monegan. She has dirty hands on Todd in the office but outside Alaska it’s sadly not without precedent. Therefore inside or outside of Alaska factors will ultimately release her from discipline other than the ultimate being she’s never going to be reelected Gov.
In closing I’m guessing I never really understood the “real” purpose of threads. Instead of discussion and honesty you get spin, lies and crazy talk. I guess it helps the blog counts but it’s not for me…see ya

Why, hell no you wouldn’t (even if the story is bogus). You’d drag that little honey over to Tiller the Baby Killer’s office at seven months, line up the baby for infanticide, and scissor it to death in the back of the skull, thinking yourself noble.

  60. More truth out of the Prophet, Kay and Chen’s party…

  61. Obama wants women to register for the draft. The day America drafts her daughters, is the day I aint American anymore.

  62. Sheer class from the Dimocratic party. Wonder which one is in Rutherford? Yes sirree! Obama and his minions will bring hope, civility and change to the nation! {vomit}

  63. Hey Rabbit,

Remember when the hypocrites here were making hay about somebody yelling “kill him” at a McCain rally when referring to Obama. Believe it was the elite hypocrite Rutherford.

Well, where’s their moral outrage over this?

    http://michellemalkin.com/2008/10/12/pds-mobsters-in-philly-lets-stone-her-old-school/

Got news for some libs. If they want to play hardball (the physical type), I’m game. In fact, look forward to it.

  64. Judging any candidate on the things a few people blurt out in a crowd is almost too stupid to even comment on. I was actually thinking the same thing when reading Rutherford’s idiocy about an idiot: Does he actually not think crazy people are yelling stupid stuff at Obama speeches?

That’s the thing with Rutherford, Chen et al. They pick and choose their moral outrage. I can be cool with that if it wasn’t for the ladle of shit soup they dole out to everyone when they pretend their not partisan hacks.

  65. Re: Goebbels reference. Have you heard of “Goodwin’s Law“, Tex?

So that I not hurt the moderator’s feelings and break Godwin’s Law, from now on I will refer to the Chamber as the Ministry of Popular Culture Chen Benito.

  66. I thought the Ministry of Popular Culture and their agent of “Hope and Change” were going to bridge the animosity?

    Buwahahahahahaha!

  67. More astounding hypocrisy concerning the ever changing Obama social “plan” of hope and change:

  68. Tex-

    Sheer class from the Dimocratic party. Wonder which one is in Rutherford? Yes sirree! Obama and his minions will bring hope, civility and change to the nation! {vomit}

    http://wwwwakeupamericans-spree.blogspot.com/2008/10/obama-supporters-call-sarah-palin-cnt.html

Ironically, that’s one of the sites that permanently censored me.

  69. “Instead of discussion and honesty you get spin, lies and crazy talk.”

If it’s any consolation, I enjoy your posts. Definitely helped me out this time around.

  70. As an aside, Obama just got the endorsement of Christopher Hitchens: Vote for Obama
McCain lacks the character and temperament to be president. And Palin is simply a disgrace.

    Goebbels, Tex?

  71. Atheist Chen…and Ministry of Popular Culture. Remember?

What’s new? Hitchens is a scumbag but Charlie Johnson is a huge fan so you have much in common; or didn’t you know?

  72. CJ endorsed Obama?

    Yea, I guess I didn’t know.

  73. Remember Chen,

Like Tammy Bruce says, the top of the ticket is characterized by the people providing the support. The nastiest, dirtiest politic on record. You guys have shown your colors, you as much as any – dishonest to the max.

I knew you’d be too dumb to pick up on why Hitchens hates the Palin type. He’d hate anybody with decency as he has so often shown. And again, so what. I’m personally glad Hitchens is supporting Obama because I think he’s revolting and it validates the type that support Obama, including you.

  74. Hi Alfie Delfie Dumbo!

Here’s the video of Palin talking about abortion and how she would not want her daughter to abort her baby if the father of her baby was her father:

Sarah Palin would applaud 11 year old girls with broken bones & bruises to go full term if she got pregnant by her father or a stranger!

And her thoughts on dinosours? Bah hahahahaha!

  75. I guess Alfie is really the dumb one and not me. 😆

    How does that feel, Alfie?
