Dipshits For Franken

January 5, 2009

Well, the long and arduous task of hand-counting nearly 3 million ballots is complete, and it appears that Franken has emerged victorious:

The state Canvassing Board certified final results this afternoon in Minnesota’s marathon U.S. Senate race, but that won’t end the battle between Democrat Al Franken and Republican Norm Coleman, whose Senate term ended on Saturday.

Moments after the board certified that Franken had eked out 225 more votes than Coleman, attorneys for Coleman said they would file a lawsuit within 24 hours.

Of course Coleman will sue, so the drama isn’t quite over yet.  But considering the 400+ vote swing, I’m inclined to take us back to a post I made back in November, before the recount began, where I posed this question:

If Franken does wind up winning, and it’s the dummies that put him over the top, what does that say?

Now, I say dummies, assuming that the majority of the people who weren’t counted by the machines the first time around were my fellow Minnesotans who did something like this on election day:

(I made this up; NOT an actual ballot)

(I made this up; NOT an actual ballot)

Needless to say, part of me wishes that the recount swung the other way, even if I voted for Franken myself. After all, there’s something to be said about an association with people who aren’t bright enough to fill in a little circle on a ballot.  And while there are those who may theorize that “funny business” was at play in the outcome, there were those who predicted from the very beginning that the undervotes would fall in Al’s favor, based on demographics and exit polls (which is a nice way of saying that the elderly and uneducated are more likely to vote for Franken, and are also more likely to screw up their ballots).   Is my reasoning sound?  I’m not certain, and maybe I’m too lazy to dive in and research it down to the last vote cast.  But on the surface, it looks like Franken might owe his victory to a smattering of dipshits, if this was indeed the statistical handful of voters that put him over the top.

  1. Glad this crap is over. This was so ridiculous, they spent all this money over a recount, all the lawsuits…over what? Two candidates that no one really cares about and no one cared who won…except Hillary Clinton apparently.
The fun part of this was the fact that it created a new game “Is the ballot a vote for Franken or Coleman”. My favorite was when multiple idiots wrote in the lizard people 🙄

  2. But sensico, the ad wars were something else. Just get a load of this one:

    Ahh…memories.

  3. The election results just prove that Al is good enough and smart enough and doggone it, people like him! 🙂

  4. Looks to me like Dims stole an election. What a farce we’ve become. And there is little doubt this was outright stealing and judicial activism at its best. 😈

Now, for the conservatives. How much longer we going to let shit go on before we begin to do something besides whine? I get Rutherford…

  5. Please tell me how Al Franken is qualified to be a US Senator, other than having a layman’s grasp of politics. He’s never been a lawyer, and has never held any other political office.

    Does “experience” mean anything anymore?

  6. That ad was kind of funny Chen, in Michigan there weren’t any funny ads that I could think of that senators were running stupid Carl Levin never does ANYTHING exciting.
Of course Franken isn’t qualified, but if you respect our democracy you would realize that as long as you meet the basic requirements of age and sanity, then anyone can run for senate and the public has a right to choose who they want.

  7. Rutherford, in all seriousness (and I at least take you somewhat seriously), garbage like this ought to alarm you. It makes a mockery of our political process and without that, we are doomed.

When Al Franken, a complete asshole, a loose cannon, and a total farce can hold one of the highest and most prestigious offices a man can hold, most likely stealing an election with the assistance of an obviously corrupted process, without any prior experience, any achievement (and don’t give me the horseshit about comedy – he was lousy at that as well), I think we have reached the tipping point that our politics and government have become meaningless. We should throw in the towel and let each man fend for himself, or tribalize like some backwater country.

I can not believe that anybody who cares about our country, and I think you do, doesn’t shake their head at how pathetic this looks.

Chen, you should be ashamed that you would allow yourself to vote for a sham like this. If you need a protest vote and absolutely can’t bring yourself to vote for the “evil” party, then you ought to at least have the fortitude to vote for some independent candidate, and not some horse’s ass who happens to have a ‘D’ beside their name.

This makes the entire state of Minnesota look deluded and a pox on your state.

  8. Al Franken should certainly be expelled from office. He should probably be executed for treason, as well. Seeing as how his fellow election stealer, Iraq Hussein Osama, is getting away with it, this will be unlikely.

  9. Iraq Hussein Osama

🙄 That was sooo…2008, how about gaining some tolerance of others. Therapy could probably help with that. If this is the “new” way of the republican party, then good luck in 2010 & 2012.

  10. OT-

Objective Scrutator, I couldn’t help but notice that your blog is on John Cole’s short, exclusive list of “Blogs We Monitor And Mock As Needed”, right up there with big names like Malkin, Hewitt, and K-Lo. (It appears that you replaced the now-defunct “Blogs4Brownback” on the list) A badge of honor?

  11. Bonus OT before I go to work-

Is it just me, or does Caroline Kennedy bear a striking resemblance to Ann Coulter?

  12. “That was sooo…2008, how about gaining some tolerance of others. Therapy could probably help with that. If this is the “new” way of the republican party, then good luck in 2010 & 2012.”

Congratulations on not addressing anything of substance. You’re much like your soybean Barnum & Bailey, Al Franken.

“Objective Scrutator, I couldn’t help but notice that your blog is on John Cole’s short, exclusive list of “Blogs We Monitor And Mock As Needed”, right up there with big names like Malkin, Hewitt, and K-Lo. (It appears that you replaced the now-defunct “Blogs4Brownback” on the list) A badge of honor?”

I honestly have no idea why he put that up there. All I did was respond to a couple of his posts, called him a moonbat, and asked him why Pajamas Media still advertised with him. Maybe he did that because I used to be affiliated with B4B.

“Is it just me, or does Caroline Kennedy bear a striking resemblance to Ann Coulter?”

I was thinking more Arianna Huffington or a less-butch Ann Althouse, but I’ve felt your drift.

  13. Seriously, of course Chen voted for Franken. Of course he did, my friends. That is the very essence of Chen.

We’re talking about a guy who blindly shills for free. It’s not even prostitution, it’s just intellectual whoring!

    A pro bono boner.

We saw this intellectual whoring the entire Obama campaign. Why would it be any different with some self-indulged, pretentious, wannabe comedic thespian that happens to be a Democrat? He is a Democrat.

Franken deserves Chen. Chen deserves Franken.

Chen writes about how he is kind of embarrassed that 400 morons incapable of shading in a bubble ultimately served as the X-factor.

I, on the other hand, argue that the X-factor was not 400 dummies, but, instead, millions of educated and other wise rational thinking people. People exactly like Chen.

Yeah, sometimes the Rabbit spouts off, shoots from the hip. I exchange ideas both to test my own and learn from others. Often times, it’s the little voice of doubt, the little voice skepticism that makes its way on these pages. Always coherent? nope. But at least the Rabbit hasn’t taken the easy way out by playing a pimp with what little I have that serves as intellect.

    Millions of cowards elected Franken.

  14. First, let’s get the trivial out of the way, nope, I don’t see the resemblance between Kennedy and Coulter, sorry Chen. For that to work, Kennedy would need much longer blond hair (that she obsessively brushes off her face to remind everyone how very white and blond she is) and an even longer neck. I swear, in some pics I can’t tell if Ann is human or giraffe.

Now to the important question at hand. First if I’m not mistaken, the recount in Minnesota was demanded by law, not by Franken. Personally, when it first looked like Coleman won the election, my preference would have been for Franken to bow out gracefully. I won’t say he stole the election but the election has gone on way longer than it should have.

The recount did serve the purpose alluded to by Chen which is to expose a number of imbecile voters. Sadly the voters fell into two categories, utter dopes who can’t color in a circle and wise asses who used their precious privilege to vote in a free society as an opportunity for dumb ass humor. It would be nice if both groups were banned from voting in the future, but this is after all a free society.

Getting back to Coulter for a minute, Franken is certainly no more obnoxious than Coulter or Rush Limbaugh, two of his favorite targets. And while we’re on the subject of unqualified candidates, where was Tex’s and Rabbit’s outrage when Arnold Schwartzenegger, Jessie Ventura and Sonny Bono got elected? It’s ok when conservative blowhards with no prior experience get elected to major office but when a liberal blowhard gets the same deal, suddenly it’s the end of America as we know it. What baloney!

As for Objective Scrutator, you’re anything but objective and you take your name from some science fiction novel … clearly you live in a fictional world when you can’t get Obama’s name right. It’s not only sooooo 2008, it’s also sooooo tremendously juvenile that it renders anything else you have to say null and void.

Ahhhhh, 2009 has begun and it’s great to be back in the Chamber slaying conservative ideologues wherever they may be found! Can I get an amen?!! 🙂

  15. Amen 😀

  16. Jesse Ventura is a total tool. However, I’ll take a Navy SEAL over Al Franken any day, thank you.

    • Ventura and Franken do have one thing in common.

      They both beat Norm Coleman.

Which reminds me, I predicted that Franken would beat Coleman almost 2 years ago, using the bout with Ventura as a sort of indicator of our voting habits. And go figure, its still one of the best places to live in the nation.

  17. Ahhhhh, 2009 has begun and it’s great to be back in the Chamber slaying conservative ideologues wherever they may be found! Can I get an amen?!!

And yet, you can’t quite seem to slay those personal problems that continue haunt you…just like a lib, always bringing a knife to the OK Corral.

But then I could say the same about Chen and his always fabulous predictions. I’d give up blogging and head to the horse track if I was as accurate as Chen claims.

  18. The link’s right there in my comment, Tex.

  19. Well Chen, as much as you’ve posted about politic, you are going to be occasionally right. So what…Besides, if we still had the rule of law in your ‘great’ state, Franken lost. Your ilk obviously stole this one…which makes your great state more like Venezuela.

I’m just saying if you’re as good as you claim, tell us what to expect in 2009 right now, starting January 21, 2009.

  20. Like I’ve been saying for a while, this election is just further making the U.S.A. look little better than some third world banana republic. But I haven’t been able to take our “political leaders” seriously for… (calculates years back to Ronald Reagan, then gives up) years, so why not have an election-stealing ex-“comedian” as a Senator?

I think the only way the RINO-Ridden-GOP ™ can counter Franken is by having Ann Coulter run. Then, we can have the true decorum in our legislative chambers that even the Brits would envy.

  21. Wait Chen, you made that up? It isn’t an actual ballot? I had gotten the opposite impression from the reportage.

  22. Wait Chen, you made that up? It isn’t an actual ballot? I had gotten the opposite impression from the reportage.

~ by Lex, Agent of Chaos January 7, 2009 at 12:52 pm

The confusion is easily explained. Being you’re one of the few Dims understanding that many brain dead liberals have the capability to be this stupid (see the infamous 2000 butterfly ballot designed by Dims, for Dims who were still not bright enough to man the booth), you recognized that this was a likely entry.

However, anybody dumb enough for Al Franken frankly surprised me they could actually read and think beyond penciling in a circle. I was actually somewhat stunned they knew enough to draw a line to their candidate; dude, give me, Bushisms, and weed being the four most common vernaculars of the lib language.

  23. “We saw this intellectual whoring the entire Obama campaign. Why would it be any different with some self-indulged, pretentious, wannabe comedic thespian that happens to be a Democrat? He is a Democrat.”

This is exactly why we need to pass the Academic Freedom Act, so that we can force colleges to accept Republicans as humanities teachers.

“dude, give me, Bushisms, and weed being the four most common vernaculars of the lib language.”

Don’t forget ‘racist’, ‘change’, ‘soy’, ‘fascism’, ‘Nazi’, ‘compassion’, ‘corporate media’, ‘Jesus supported huge bureacracies’, and the various euphemisms they sputter when on that pot.

Rutherford, you’re kind of weird. Your second paragraph is completely correct, and I like your analysis in the third paragraph (however, you also fail to note that Franken had significantly more smarty pants and idiots voting for him than Coleman did).

On the other hand, you can’t actually defend why Franken is so good for office, so you start saying how bad Coulter and Limbaugh are (who, incidentally, do not run for office, nor should they), how much of douches Schwarzenegger (a RINO), Ventura (a libertarian, and not even a Republican), and Bono (yeah, wanting to extend copyright makes you a pretty big douche in a liberal’s world, but not the real world) are, and you finish by throwing a slew of ad hominems (including an incorrect citation of where I got my name). To end it all, you violate Danth’s Law.

  24. Tex, surely you’re not suggesting that liberals have a monopoly on personal problems? If I thought that “converting” to conservative would suddenly make my life a utopia, I might consider it. Frankly, I’d rather verge on utter poverty with my conscience intact than to buy the conservative creed wholesale.

I actually like Paleo’s idea. Let’s have Ann Coulter get in the Senate …. even better Coulter for President in 2012! God would that be entertaining … disastrous but entertaining. I can picture the debates now where she snickers and insults all of her opponents.

  25. Not a monopoly – just the vast majority of personal problems. From Fred Phelps, to Code Pink, to a serial rapist for President, liberalism spans the personal globe of weirdos, dregs, dopers, deviants, and rejects. Since liberalism is morally bankrupt with absolutely no record of measurable success but winning elections, it logically follows that most voting for Obama will also be unsuccessful in their personal lives. Their vote is a testament to their failure.

Frankly, I’d rather verge on utter poverty with my conscience intact than to buy the conservative creed wholesale.

Why not? Seems to me buying off wholesale on the godless, liberal creed hasn’t done you any big favors. Hope you’re not depending on libs to bail you out as I have witnessed not only are they completely self-serving, but incredibly stingy with their own funds.

    Hope and change baby!

  26. Arnold Schwartzenegger, Jessie Ventura and Sonny Bono got elected? It’s ok when conservative blowhards with no prior experience get elected to major office but when a liberal blowhard gets the same deal, suddenly it’s the end of America as we know it. What baloney!

Damn, I missed this. Not that you’re not important Rutherford (well, you’re not but putting that aside), when have I ever defended any of the three from above?

    (1) Awnald – I have continually made fun of him on this board and think he one step up from the previous flunky Davis. Awnald is a buffoon, he has continued CA’s march to bankruptcy, he’s married to a pathetic Kennedy, and he’s a schmuck pagan like you, but he did make a good cybernetic organism.

    (2) Jessie Ventura – my Lord, how many times have I knocked that blockhead. He wasn’t a Republican anyway. He’s worse than Awnald, being that he is actually vile as well and can’t act.

    (3) Sonny Bono? 😆 Well, he was a mayor of Palm Springs for a time because of his frustration of having to deal with your inept type (that’s a positive), so he gets kudos for that, but been dead for 10 years now or so, was a RINO, and couldn’t hold a marriage together. I don’t really have a problem with Sonny but he wasn’t a Senator either with only a failed radio station bankrolled by a felon to his name.

  27. Last statement should have read…

I don’t really have a problem with Sonny but he wasn’t a Senator either with only a failed radio station bankrolled by a felon to his name like Stuart Smalley

  28. Hey “R” or “Chen”,

I have a challenge. Can either of you show me….

One major city, from Boston to Los Angeles, from New Orleans, to Cleveland, from Miami to Seattle, from sea to shining sea, a community run lock, stock, and barrel by Dimocrats that doesn’t have deplorable schools, a high crime rate, exhorbitant taxes, and a corrupt government?

Damn sure isn’t Obambi’s town – the murder capital of the world. Because off hand, I can’t think of a one this isn’t in complete disarray.

  29. Tex-
“One major city, from Boston to Los Angeles, from New Orleans, to Cleveland, from Miami to Seattle, from sea to shining sea, a community run lock, stock, and barrel by Dimocrats that doesn’t have deplorable schools, a high crime rate, exhorbitant taxes, and a corrupt government?”

Agree. The nearest big city near me is Philly. The claim is that the murder rate in Philadelphia is finally down. Reason? The claim is that the price of bullets is up.

Yet, on New Years Eve they had an extra (couple hundred per radio) contingent of officers on the street to try to keep folks from firing their guns in the air at midnight. This is a city that has to close fire stations, lay off firemen, but only cut back the hours on some of the 50 plus libraries in the city.

I used to enjoy listening to Bob Marley sing about living in a Third World country and actually feeling sympathy for the plight of the people. It’s been a lot of years since I’ve been able to listen to him. Watching my paycheck shrink while the gubmints share increased and a bunch of clueless libturds point their finger in every direction – except back at themselves at the mess they have made.

Maybe I just need to grow some dreads, sell weed on the corner, and stfu.

    • Since major metropolitan areas tend to vote for Dems, I’d say its kind of a flawed challenge…but I’ll offer up Minneapolis.

  30. Minneapolis huh,

Now if memory serves, and I am to lazy to scan your blog so I’ll let you go get it, it wasn’t but five or six weeks ago that thought enough of your civil and law abiding city to expose a bar only a few miles from your resident that you would be safer walking thru Gaza?

Could you retrieve that for us General?

  31. too lazy…awk!

    you thought awk! awk!

  32. Since major metropolitan areas tend to vote for Dems, I’d say its kind of a flawed challenge…but I’ll offer up Minneapolis.

True, but a large city is also made of many suburbs where law abiding citizens and low crime continue to flee in large contingents to remove themselves from Dimocratic strongholds. Why?

  33. Eugene, Oregon.

  34. Now if memory serves, and I am to lazy to scan your blog so I’ll let you go get it, it wasn’t but five or six weeks ago that thought enough of your civil and law abiding city to expose a bar only a few miles from your resident that you would be safer walking thru Gaza?

Blondies is a bar, Tex, and I doubt I’d feel safer walking thru Gaza. I was trying to be sarcastic, which I kinda feel bad about because some kid did die there, after all.

Seriously, go ahead and start here. It’s a great place to live. Sure, we had that bridge collapse, but we put a bright shiny new one in its place in no time.

And by the way, you might have noticed at some point, while drooling over my blog design or whatever, I have this little search thingy near the top of the sidebar. It works pretty slick, and I use it myself when I want to reference my past posts. So, if you wanna go all Archivist on me, you might find that one handy.

  35. Eugene, Oregon. 😆

You mean where they brag about defecating on the flag and do so, anarchists rioting over labor by smashing windows on main street, euthanasia encouraged, and the car theft capital of Oregon? Besides, a college town is a poor example of a metropolitan community. I will be more specific – any major city representative of the general population.

    http://www.seattleweekly.com/1999-09-01/news/the-new-anarchists/1

The Eugene, OR, where they still worship hippie and former track star Steve PreFontaine by setting up strange rock monuments is if he is the messiah after he’s been dead 35 years?

But the suggestion did strike me funny.

  36. In fact, in looking thru the crime stats, only one of the determining factors of quality of life, your best bet that I can determine for a MSA low crime rate (run by a Dimocratic majority) would be Portland, ME, or Burlington, VT. I don’t know the politics of Green Bay, WI.

The most crime free lib majority I can find for a large MSA is surprisingly Boston, MA.

However, I would remind everyone these MSAs also have one thing in common, as do the rest of the more low-crime ratings (an obvious unmentionable, which I won’t mention to offend the liberal faux sensitivity).

Unfortunately Chen, Minneapolis is one of the few where statistics are N/A. 😆 I wonder what they are hiding. Duluth registers the lowest crime rate I can find in MN. I have no idea the politics as MN seems pretty evenly split.

  37. This isn’t going to go anywhere, I’m afraid.

Franken won; world will keep spinning.

  38. This isn’t going to go anywhere, I’m afraid. Franken won; world will keep spinning.

Of course it will. The 20th century survived Hitler, Stalin and Clinton. The 21st century will survive Obama, Biden and Franken.

  39. Oh, one last thing before closing out:

And by the way, you might have noticed at some point, while drooling over my blog design or whatever, I have this little search thingy near the top of the sidebar.

Well, if you don’t like the sincere compliments about your efforts and an appreciation that someone would notice, I can certainly put an abrupt stop to that.

I don’t think you would find the majority of America agrees with your assessment of MN. Don’t get me wrong – it is pretty with the lakes, and I found the people pretty friendly. But six months of weather only the American Eskimo could appreciate negates anything else offered; Garden of Eden, or not.

  40. Tex, you’ve pretty much cleared house with the liberals. If they want to live in a city that’s completely under Democrat control, I’d say that we give them Chicago, Baltimore, or any city that has over 500,000 people. The rational Americans would like the rest of it.

Now let’s see one of these moonbat lunatics try to come up with why conservatism is a failure.

  41. But six months of weather only the American Eskimo could appreciate negates anything else offered; Garden of Eden, or not.

And surely the low mean temperature permeates our collective minds, resulting in a voting behavior that confuses all the sane people in the rest of the country. With these Dems we keep electing, it just boggles the mind that we’re still the home of 3M, Pilsbury, Target, Hormel, Best Buy, Land O’Lakes, Caribou Coffee, and the Mayo Clinic. Yep, you’d think we’d be a veritable social tundra, devoid of anything productive, creative, or meaningful, and plagued with despair, misery, and decadence. The exception to the rule, is what you’re saying. Or a miracle, more likely. 🙄

  42. Well General,

If MN is the veritable paradise you brag of, why the personal dilemmas? With your man of hope and change, Stuart Smalley as your Senator in waiting, the Garden of Eden you reside, and your outstanding predilection of prediction, you ought to be riding high tide.

But I would be careful about what you brag of Chen. Just tonight I read where secular Europe, after putting their faith in “THE ONE”, Al Gore, science and global “warming”, is now having record cold with 12 deaths reported. Destiny does have a way of taking the arrogant and biting their ass at the least opportune time. 👿

Where I live, Best Buy and Target are starting to falter big time. 3M? Stock tanking 40% in 12 months.

    http://finance.yahoo.com/echarts?s=MMM#chart1:symbol=mmm;range=2y;indicator=volume;charttype=line;crosshair=on;ohlcvalues=0;logscale=on;source=undefined

And besides the Mayo Clinic, the rest are a chunk of local shit not worthy of mention. You’d have done better to mention Medtronic.

  43. Or General Mills?

  44. “Sure, we had that bridge collapse…”

Which subsequent examination revealed failed due to the corrosive effects of pigeon shit on key components and an excessive load during re-decking(1). Not the personal demolition skills of one George W. Bush, despite the efforts of the comrades on the left to paint it as such.

I haven’t seen a dollar figure on Obama’s proposed spending on infrastructure/pigeon-shit-remediation, Chen. You’re no doubt an insider. Any numbers, yet? I can just see his announcement of a 1,000,000 man pigeon-shit-scrubbing jobs program and the subsequent outrage:

“Man, I ain’t gonna scrub no shit for no 28.50 an hour. I voted for Hope and Change, not dangling from some bridge on a rope with a scrub brush and bucket. Where’s my reparations check?”

    Not to mention PETA outrage:
“We find the issue of forced separation and homelessness of the affected bird species to be an order of magnitude higher in enormity than the transportation of human beings to the death camps in Poland during WWII. Our spokesperson, Sarah McLaughlin, has agreed to sing the Christian hymn “Silent Night, Holy Night” for our series of commercials drawing worldwide revulsion to this savage proposal.”

Yuk, the elements of truth in the above are making me ill.

    ——————–
    (1) Excessive build-up of the bird waste was linked to the collapse of a road bridge in the United States last year, which killed 13 people. Experts believe a build-up of corrosive droppings weakened the metal structure in Minneapolis. Link…

  45. What I want to know about these proposed public work projects is that there isn’t a “progressive” I’ve met smart enough to drill a hole or turn a wrench.

You can only have so many liberals standing at the copy machine, or passing out pencils.

  46. Hey all you good libs and in this case DR,

Remember when you were bemoaning Tex about his observation that America was coarsening? About how old Tex was just dreaming, and we’ve got civil rights, and free speech, and Obama, and and and [ad nauseum]?

Well, here’s an indicator of more hope and change:

    http://www.pennlive.com/midstate/index.ssf/2009/01/conduct_at_restaurant_describe.html

    😆

  47. Chen the bridge went up lickety split but it did so without the usual Democrat machine bullshit. Much like California after the Oakland earthquakes. In comparison Boston builds the Big Pig with juicey morsels of pork, linkage and graft. See Democrats occasionally know how to get stuff done but all too often they go with their comfort zone. And for anyone who wants to go all Reagan/Bush,Weld Romney (all R’s during the Dig I counter Tip Oneil (whose name is on the leaking tunnel) Kennedy,Kerry,Clinton,Menino etc. all D’s

  48. Minnesota’s greatness and corporate haven status anything to do with your Gov’s being 26 GOP to 13 others in your history ?

  49. @ Tex as a Bostonian I can promise you Boston benefits greatly from it’s still present zip code racism and offsets by well of environs such as Newton,Dedham and Brookline.
Violent crime in Boston itself can be found in one or two zips in high numbers then poof when you cross that invisible line. It’s as sad as it is reassuring.

  50. Just saw that the Porn Industry is headed to DC for a $5 billion bailout. Not sure if it’s a joke or not, but this is one bailout that I’d like Congress to get behind. I mean, can you imagine for one minute the ripple-down effect on the economy?

    Tattoo parlors
    Brazilian Wax providers
    Breast Implant manufacturers
    Viagra sales
    K-Y jelly sales
    Big-screen TV’s
    DVD players

Single-handedly, Congress could, with the stroke of a pen, firm up the bottom line for the porn-people and erect a bailout. Back-door negotiations could get slippery, though – but in the end, the taxpayers would be assured of a continuing supply.

    http://www.tmz.com/2009/01/07/porn-kings-help-us-through-hard-times/

  51. Alfie,

Tex as a Bostonian I can promise you Boston benefits greatly from it’s still present zip code racism and offsets by well of environs such as Newton,Dedham and Brookline.

Oh yea Alfie, this is the dirty, little secret nobody of the left dare mention about white libs while they pander for votes every four years in the minority community. There isn’t a more separatist bunch of scumbags than white libs lining both coasts. Few have a damn thing to do with blacks, browns, or any other color than their own in their personal lives, unless it is somebody rich and famous. They’ll take photo ops, lie thru their teeth about charitable works, and that’s about it.

I’ll give President Rapist one compliment besides about something but his libido. At least Slick I believe was sincere about understanding the dilemma of mixing races, being he did grow up poor and amongst the masses. It’s his one redeeming quality, besides the fact he is a damn good political hack.

P.S. to Chen – now how are those wonderful taxi drivers over in St. Paul who won’t allow the seeing eye dogs because their Muslim sensitivities doing that your fine city continues to cater?

Sounds to me, given 5-10 years and Senator Stuart Smalley, Eden might be renamed Meccapolis?

    • Alfie-

Minnesota’s greatness and corporate haven status anything to do with your Gov’s being 26 GOP to 13 others in your history ?

I like to think of it as the result of generations of being attractive to the world’s best and brightest, providing an environment for them to flourish, and electing the right people, regardless of party affiliation.

      Tex-

P.S. to Chen – now how are those wonderful taxi drivers over in St. Paul who won’t allow the seeing eye dogs because their Muslim sensitivities doing that your fine city continues to cater?

Sounds to me, given 5-10 years and Senator Stuart Smalley, Eden might be renamed Meccapolis?

Oh fer crying out loud. You MUST have pulled a muscle on that straw grasp.

  52. Tex, that Chucky Cheese is in Susquehanna Township, Dauphin County, PA…a Republican township in a Republican county.

  53. Tex, that Chucky Cheese is in Susquehanna Township, Dauphin County, PA…a Republican township in a Republican county.

Well, taking a look at the obvious representation in the picture, that doesn’t appear to be Republican country if you get my drift.

But assuming you are right for a minute, when did I ever differentiate coarsening by party? Some deacon down here, and I’m sure a registered ‘R’, pulled the balls off a lunch pal for disagreeing about who to root for in the football game.

  54. dead rabbit 2.0
Can you name the U.S. Representative who…, well represents the people of Susquehanna Township, Dauphin County, PA in Congress?

Here’s a clue – he called his constituents racists, then retracted that, then called them rednecks. He’s got a big, fat old (D) after his name.

  55. DR, I think you’re wrong about the representation. Here’s their current representative, if I’ve got my geography right:

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tim_Holden

    He’s a Dimmie…

  56. lol….what about Donald Houser, the Commissioner at Susquehanna Township. GOP, baby. G-O-P. You mean you never heard of Donald Houser?

  57. Of course it will. The 20th century survived Hitler, Stalin and Clinton. The 21st century will survive Obama, Biden and Franken.

Tex thanks. After a really crappy day, this is sending me to bed with a chuckle. Sometimes your utterances are so preposterous, methinks you a closet liberal engaging in parody here in the Chamber. Clinton belongs in the same sentence as Hitler and Stalin? And now Hitler and Stalin will be matched by Obama, Biden and the (even you must admit) harmless Al Franken? I do enjoy how you love the drama.

Oh, and not to get us back on a racial debate but could you please explain to me what is the “dilemma” in mixing the races?

  58. Gawd Rutherford, are you’re so lame you have to actually go seeking reasons to offended or make issue? Here, let me make it personal so you’ll comprehend this time.

Rutherford, our resident thought police, racial expert and pagan do gooder doesn’t do a damn thing with anybody that is black. He doesn’t live with them, he doesn’t associate with them, he is not friends socially with them. His relationship with blacks is completely superficial. In other words, your world is incredibly homogeneous Rutherford, as are most libs.

Now as far as my comment about Slick, he grew up with blacks, is social with blacks, feels comfortable with blacks. I believe his relationship with blacks sincere, genuine and somewhat unique for anybody in a position of politic. That is, if Slick has genuine relationships, including with his feckless wife.

The dilemma is spoke of is exactly that. We still as nation are far more comfortable associating with those that look like us, act like us, think like us. Therefore, contrary to all the diversity crap libs preach in their false piety, we are a very segregated society which is by choice. And it has been my experience that blue collar types come a lot closer to sharing real relationships with other races, creeds and colors than the white collar type do.

Anybody that denies that is either blind, willingly ignorant, or a fool.

I’m glad you enjoyed that. I actually put that in there more for you than I did Chen the Humorless and resident pseudo-socialist. At least you understand the attempt at humor, even if you don’t find it funny. I will concede I find that your one redeeming quality..

  59. lol….what about Donald Houser, the Commissioner at Susquehanna Township. GOP, baby. G-O-P. You mean you never heard of Donald Houser?

Nope, I honestly don’t know who he is. I assume from your tone he is a bozo with an ‘R’ beside his name. There are a bunch of them, including my local representative who would rival any lib for pomposity.

  60. General, I understand it is now 8 degrees in Minneapolis as I type. I rest my case.

I did forget the one great quality of the pretty but frigid state. It had the absolute horniest women I’ve ever met in a younger day. And the closer you got to the boundary waters, the more inviting the locals became. I’ve never experienced, how did our Serial Rapist Dimocratic President say it, “the come hither look” like I did in MN.

One day for humor I will tell you of my experience while fishing your lakes of my ‘trip’ to the polka house on a cold Thursday night still stinking like pike and walleye. I wish I could remember the name of that yahoo town.

    Ah, those were the days…

  61. Tex–I’ll need to find the link, but when I lived in Indianapolis one of the constantly elected Congresswomen there was taped for TV voting on a sample ballot. She was elderly and rarely even in Congress to vote, but hey! everyone kept voting her back in right up to when she died. Blanking out on the name at the moment, but that sample ballot incident was just a side splitter. And yes, she was a Democrat.

  62. Lex, 😆

I’m afraid that may be a more common malady than both of us would like to admit. We want the bums thrown out, except our bum.

When the Grand Wizard Robert Byrd (D), a predominately red state by the way, gets up to speak, I actually pray that he doesn’t croak while speaking. It’s about as painful as listening to this…

  63. Tex how much do you wanna bet she’s a Republican? 🙂

  64. Tex how much do you wanna bet she’s a Republican?

Maybe so. However, how much do you wanna bet she never holds office like Maxine Waters, Cynthia McKinney or Nanzi Pelosi, your party’s matriarchs? 😉

  65. Maybe we should just forget about the results this go round and let the Lizard People take this one. After a pro wrestler and a former comedian I think it might be the next logical step. 😛

  66. Holy crap Tex, that was both hilarious and quite painful!! Good Lord, that woman should never be allowed to speak again. “The Iraq”…..ROFL.

Oh, I remembered the Congresswoman’s name, it was Julia Carson. She passed away just a few years after her televised sample ballot voting.

  67. Hey Rutherford, on second thought it looks like our South Carolina beauty queen may not be Republican after all.

And I quote: “Upton also attended the 2007 MTV Video Music Awards, where she performed a parody of her famous response.”

I would say the chances much better she’s a Dim – not too many Republican parents I know approve much of a MTV so send their child to make an ass of themselves a second time. Sounds like Lib upbringing to me.

    😈

  68. Farther south, Minneapolis hit 18 below zero with a wind chill of 32 below and black ice was blamed for numerous accidents.

😈 The proverbial Garden of Eden. 😈

  69. Oh yea, she was a cold one today.

  70. Well General,

I’m glad my prodding you didn’t make you mad this time. I was worried you were turning into a grumpy old man. I saw that blurb, and came in here to give you a hard time.

    Minneapolis is a fine city.
