Wonder Palm

As regular Chamber readers have probably figured out by now, I like to use a kung-fu as a metaphor for -and Flame Warriors as a caricature of- the discussions and debates in which netizens engage on the internet.  I suppose it would only be appropriate to have an emblem that expands on this theme.

And if one uses pop culture kung-fu as a metaphor for the rhetorical combat that is the debate on a blog, the “Wonder Palm” embodies a comment or post that deals a devastating blow to an opponent’s argument (usually resulting in a retreat from the battlefield, or an ad hominem retort).   This icon is therefore awarded to netizens who are able to deliver a post of this magnitude.
